Who this review is for

This consultation is for employees or job applicants in Germany who have a defined concern about pay, promotion, recruitment, working conditions, dismissal, harassment, or another workplace decision. You may suspect a connection to sex, gender identity, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, or sexual identity, or you may need help working out whether the comparison is meaningful.

It is suitable when you have enough detail to describe a particular event or pattern. It is not a promise that unlawful discrimination occurred, and it does not include representation in court, correspondence sent in our name, or a binding legal opinion.

What is included

  • A short pre-session questionnaire and document checklist
  • Up to 30 minutes of advance review of a concise chronology and no more than 12 relevant pages
  • A 75-minute private consultation in English
  • Mapping of dates, decisions, comparators, stated reasons, witnesses, and records
  • Discussion of internal routes, works council or union support, and when to seek a Rechtsanwalt
  • A written summary of practical next steps within three working days

How the appointment works

First, send a brief enquiry without attachments. If the scope fits, we offer appointment times and explain secure document transfer. Payment is due after the appointment is confirmed and before advance review begins.

Prepare a one-page chronology where possible. Bring the employment contract or offer, relevant payslips, the job description, performance records, and only the messages closely connected to the concern. Redact unnecessary third-party personal data.

During the session we test the account carefully. Equal work is not established merely by similar job titles, and different treatment is not automatically discrimination. Tasks, responsibility, conditions, qualifications, pay components, decision-makers, and timing all matter.

Boundaries and urgent matters

Engine Pathhub provides independent consultation and preparation support. We do not act as a law firm, file claims, contact your employer, or guarantee outcomes. Limitation periods and contractual deadlines can be short; the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), for example, may involve time-sensitive assertion of claims. If a deadline may be running, obtain qualified legal or union advice without waiting for this appointment.
